FAQ
Q) What should I bring to my session?
Bring a few outfits to have some variety. Don’t forget accessories: a favorite necklace, a pair of shoes, maybe a hat, scarf or tie. Props and other items are encouraged.
Boudoir clients: Bring your lingerie, some colorful underwear, your significant other’s favorite dress shirt or sports jersey… the choice is yours! Don’t forget accessories!
Q) Where are the sessions held?
Anywhere you’d like! The Canvassy Images studio, your own home, a high class hotel, your favorite park, or your choice of our favorite locations.
Q) Can I bring someone with me to my photo session?
Definitely! Clients and models are always welcome to bring someone with them.
Q) Can I bring my own music?
Of course! Our music dock will connect with any ipod or phone.
Q) Do you retouch or edit my photos?
I take a natural and authentic approach to photography, so I do minimal photoshopping. I will professionally process your photos, and correct color balance and remove blemishes. I don't use the warp or liquify tools, I believe in using posing and lighting to highlight your best features and hide any problem areas. I shoot a lot of film for my personal work, so the mentality of getting it right in the camera carries over to my digital work as well.
Q) How do payments work?
The session fee is due at the time of booking to hold your date. Product payment is due before picking up any prints, artwork or albums. I do offer a 6 months no-interest payment plan for products.
Q) What if I have to re-schedule? Or Cancel?
There’s no penalty for re-scheduling and your session fee retainer will carry over to your scheduled shoot. In the event of a cancellation, the session fee retainer is non-refundable.
Q) Do you ever have sales? Or Discounts?
Please inquire about my discount for Military members, former members, and their spouses.
Q) Is there an age limit for boudoir?
Yes! 18+ with valid ID.
Q) Will you post my photos online?
All of the people on my website have signed a model release form, and knew ahead of time that I'd be using their photos. Boudoir clients and their privacy are treated with discretion and nothing from those shoots will be posted without prior permission. I often post a “sneak peak” of what I’m working on, and if you would like to be included please let me know and I would be happy to post a photo or two!
Q) Do you shoot nudes? I don't see any on your website.
Yes! Everything from implied nudity to fully nude. The photo labs I work with are also comfortable with nudity, so including nude images in your artwork and album is not a problem.
Q) Do you shoot couples boudoir?
Yes! Couples are welcome.
Q) Can I sell my photos? Can I use them commercially? Or submit them to magazines and websites like Suicide Girls?
These uses need special permission from the photographer. Please contact me to discuss details.
